- An honors graduate from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, David Haynie, M.D., joined Cardiovascular Specialists, P.A. in the practice of cardiology in the summer of 1991.
Following medical school, he completed an internship in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Kentucky Medical Center Hospital in Lexington, Ky. After a two-year residency at the same institution, he served an additional year as chief resident in medicine. His residency was followed by a three-year fellowship in cardiology at the University of Kentucky Medical Center Hospital. He received a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration and Practice Management from the University of Dallas in 2000.
A native of Houston, Texas, Haynie graduated from Clear Creek High School and the University of Texas.
Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, Haynie is a member of the Texas Medical Association and the Denton County Medical Society. He is an associate member of the American College of Physicians, and a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology.
Haynie holds staff privileges at Lewisville Medical Center and Texas Health Flower Mound.
He enjoys spending time with his two sons, Sam and Ben, and watching them grow up.
