Pediatric Rehabilitation

Pediatric rehabilitation is a specialized service for children of all ages who are dealing with injuries, chronic disorders and developmental delays. Occupational, speech and physical therapists work with families and schools to maximize functional independence and reach developmental milestones.

From improvements in social interaction and school outcomes to developmental performance and sports recovery, the benefits of rehabilitation for children can be enormous.

Young adults up to age 21 can benefit from the experience and compassionate care provided in our pediatric rehabilitation program.

Our Pediatric Programs
  • Occupational Therapy
    Pediatric occupational therapy helps children with the development of their motor skills and independence.
  • Physical Therapy
    Toddlers to young adults receive physical therapy targeted to their young bodies for neurological, genetic and orthopedic conditions.
  • Aquatic Therapy
    Aquatic therapy is a progressive exercise program set in a warm therapeutic pool. Using water’s buoyant and resistive properties, young patients can improve their range of motion, strength, muscle tone, endurance, balance, coordination, posture, relaxation and pain control.
  • Speech Therapy
    Children who are born with or develop problems speaking, eating or swallowing can receive help in our speech therapy program.

H2OPE is a fun community outreach aquatic fitness program for children with special needs. The program is offered at Texas Health Hospital Dallas and Texas Health Hospital HEB and provides an alternative recreational activity to help meet physical, cognitive and psychosocial needs.
